Congratulations on the purchase of your New Kid Coyote !!!!

We’re sure you will be satisfied with the quality and performance of your kart.  Due to the high speeds achieved on certain tracks many clubs and organizations require you to run a restrictor plate.  Keep in mind that the restrictor plate is not always mandatory.  Please use your own discretion to determine whether or not it should be used.

Chassis Setup

Set tire pressures at 15 lbs and check frequently. Check lugs on wheels after each use, including hubs on axle. The rear hubs should be initially set at 4” from the axle support towers.  This is measured from the axle support towers to the hub face (where wheel mounts).

Fuel/Maintenance

Mix 2 cycle oil with gas according to mfg. recommendation. The recommended oil is Klotz R50, 6-8 ounces per gallon. Lube chain frequently. Re-adjust chain after first use. Check master cylinder oil level & re-bleed if necessary.

Seat Installation

Set seat so the top of the seat is 7” from the top of the rear axle.  The left side of the seat should be about ¾” from the master cylinder for the brakes.  The front of the seat, measured in the seat center, should be 18 ¼” from the front axle tube ( front tube with “Kid Coyote” sticker).

The left side seat strut should be 3 ¼”  from the outside of the frame tube.  The right side seat strut should be 8 7/8” from the outside of the right-most frame tube.  The right side slider mount should be 4 ¼” from the inside engine mount tube.

Nose Mounting

The nose clamping hardware should be installed flush with the bottom of the nose, and 1/8” from the center-most detents.  See the picture below for more detail.

Sidepod Mounting

The pods should be mounted so the rear of the pod is 2 ¾” from the back of the rear-most nerf mount support.  See picture below for more detail.
